Ryan Adam Murray will be hosting a lecture & discussion on the subject of Occult Philosophy. This talk will examine the philosophical questions raised by the practice of Ceremonial Magick. What ethical questions will we face? What does the existence of beings like Gods and Angels imply for metaphysics? What does this mean for our approach to politics? By approaching this subject we also will be able to address more practical aspects of how a Ceremonial Magician integrates the use of occult forces into their daily life.

Ryan Adam Murray will be giving a talk on the subject of the Magical Tools: what to consider when making them, where to get them, and how they are used in different Rituals, including their applications in Goetia, Enochian, Ars Paulina, etc. This will also afford an opportunity to discuss Ceremonial Magical Rituals in a step-by-step format.

The next scheduled Thelemic/Occult Pub-Night is set for Friday, November 18, at 8:30pm -- at The Only Cafe on the Danforth. This is an informal opportunity to meet others in the Occult community and discuss Occult-related subjects with others of like-mind. We'll also discuss subjects for future study-groups, meetups, events, etc.
The Only Cafe is right around the corner from Donlands Subway Station, on the Bloor/Danforth line. I should also point out that The Only Cafe is side-by-side with -- and connected to -- The One Coffee House. I'm thinking we'll congregate in either the one or the other, depending on how busy things are.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

This lecture will explore the role of hostile magick in the occult, how the use of this type of magick ties into the magician's individual Will, and the moral questions that arise from cursing another person. We will also look at how this magick can be practically put into effect, and the nature of an "enemy" in Thelema.
